Youth Network for Health and Sexual Rights

It is the result of educative and communicative strategy for the respect of free and responsible sexual orientation and gender identity developed by CENESEX.
The Network is composed by young people trained as health and sexual rights promoters, who define themselves as an “inclusive, diverse, participatory, dynamic, flexible of theoretical and personal growth, dialogue and replication of experiences” team.
Its founding lines do not distinguish between gender, sexual orientation, geographical and social background, educational level, skin color and religious or philosophical beliefs.
It is only necessary for integrating it to” have been part of the training workshops, to be young, feel young, and be responsible and committed to the labor of CENESEX”.
The Network recognizes the Youth Initiative of the World Association for Sexual Health (WAS ) and the Latin American and Caribbean Youth Alliance Flights to Cairo +20.

Lesbian and Bisexual Women Network.

The network of lesbian and bisexual women is made up of different groups that lie in Cuban provinces. Each group has its own name e.g. OREMI from Havana, Fénix from Cienfuegos, Ateneas from Ciego de Avila, Venus from Bayamo and Las Isabelas from Santiago de Cuba.
The network aims to sexual health of lesbian and bisexual women and the right to have a decent work. It is essential to take into account the social determinants of health, where work is one of them.
These women that are part of the Network have been trained as health activists and have attended training workshops. They participate in activities promoted by CENESEX during the Cuban Conference against Homophobia, in the World Sexual Health Day, in panels where various issues of human sexuality are discussed, in different film club and other meetings.
Each group meets once a month, plans cultural activities open to other networks and the public in general and performs actions aimed to sensitizing the community. In this regard, the work of Cienfuegos and Santiago’s women is very significant.
In Havana, besides the training of OREMI’s women group, others activities have been done such as: exhibition of films that discuss various issues related to women in general and lesbian topics in particular, to encourage discussions and analysis with the group. They also have scheduled meetings open to the public poetry and songs.

Lawyers Network for Sexual Rights.

Lawyers Network for Sexual Rights aims to be a forum for exchange, reflection and the development of specific actions in relation to the recognition and guarantee of sexual rights in Cuba.
It is integrated by professionals and operators of the law, as well as students of this subject. All those people that, from their profession or performance are linked to the issues related to sexual rights can also be integrated into the activities of the network. Meetings are monthly.
Main goals:
1. To manage knowledge related to sexual rights into the network and outside of it.
2. To develop a legal culture related to sexual rights among citizens.
3. To make scientific researches for the promotion of legal changes regarding to sexual rights in Cuba.
It has the support of the National Union of Cuban Jurists ( UNJC ) , the Faculty of Law and the Supreme Court.

Humanity by Diversity Network ( HxD )

Humanity by Diversity Network aims to promote educational initiatives and the implementation of policies to recognize and respect a free sexual orientation and gender identity as human rights.
Its objectives are:
1. To design and to implement a training strategy on sexual diversity with a gender and participatory approach.
2. To monitor events or discriminatory actions based on sexual orientation and gender identity.
3. To carry out communicative actions advocating for the recognition and respect for sexual orientation and gender identity.
4. To build and leverage public discussion spaces on sexual diversity.
5. To create strategic alliances with other similar groups.
6. To investigate and document the history of sexual diversity in Cuba.
