Mariela Castro Espín ends her visit to Ottawa

Ottawa June 24, 2014. The Director of the National Center for Sexual Education (CENESEX) and member of the Cuban Parliament, Mariela Castro Espín, fulfilled an intense program of activities between June 23 and 24 in the capital of Canada, country she visits to participate in the World Pride Human Rights Conference to be held in Toronto, between days 25 and 29 of this month.

 In Ottawa, Mariela gave several interviews to the media, including Radio Canada International,  and newspapers “The Ottawa Citizen”, “The Hill Times” and “The Embassy”, the latter specializing in political, parliamentary and themes regarding the diplomatic community.

On the afternoon of June 23, Mariela gave a lecture at the Cuban Embassy, ​​attended by students, members of the solidarity group with Cuba, academics, diplomats and members of the Cuban community in this city. After the conference took place a fruitful exchange among those present who departed highly satisfied with the information they received.

The program also included a meeting with Liberal MP David McGuinty with whom Mariela exchanged on a variety of topics of the national life and agreed to continue with various projects, on the interest of both countries in the areas of cultural exchange and education. Embacuba CANADA.
